The Plan




Start and end the trip in Portugal

Five days soaking up the culture in Lisbon, two days soaking up the sun in Nazare, then enjoy some Douro Valley vineyards on the way to Spain.  On the flip side, explore the Carviero beach caves before returning to Lisbon for the last couple days.

Travel through Spain

Lubian, Oviedo, and the Guggenheim in Bilbao on the way to France.  Later, three days in Cadaques and the rugged Costa Brava, four in Barcelona's Ciutat Vella, then Valencia, Los Alcazares, and finally Marbella's beaches on the Costa del Sol.

The core - Collioure, France

See the prehistoric cave paintings in the Pyrenees on the way to a week in the village that inspired Matisse, Chagall, Dali, and Picasso.  Our base for day trips to the Languedoc-Roussillon vineyards and monasteries in the mountains.
